Kate has given up on love—at least for herself. She is both blessed and cursed with the ability to sense a romantic connection between two people—a gift that her family passed down for generations. When Kate launches her own matchmaking company, Kinnection, with her two best friends in a cozy New York town, she has to put aside her own romantic disasters to make her business a success.

But when a furious man stalks into her office and accuses her business of being a scam, Kate is given the ultimate challenge to prove herself. Slade puts himself in her hands and asks Kate to find him love. Enraged at his arrogance but stubbornly eager to prove herself, Kate agrees, dedicating herself to the journey of finding him love...only to find herself falling for him along the way
.

MY THOUGHTS

Kate had to live her whole life not only with a horrible stutter (it's almost gone now though!), she also has to live with a curse/gift: she can tell when people meet their perfect match - their mate! She just needs to touch them both at the same time. All the females in her family history had this 'curse' as she calls it ☺
So the obvious profession for her is: MatchMaker ☺
She openend up KINNECTIONS with her 2 best friends from college. And even though she tries NOT to use her gift/curse with her clients, their business is going very well. Until Slade Montgomery comes storming in - telling them to NOT accept his sister as a client.
Slade doesn't believe in Love and happy ever after. He's a passionate divorce lawyer ☺ He wants to protect his little sister from those money-grabbing idiots at KINNECTIONS. But - they're not idiots. He's immediately both attracted and infuriated by Kate. And once Kate accidentally touches him - she knows he's HER match. But he's ALL wrong for her. They don't have anything in common.

Slade wants to prove that love doesn't exist - he dares Kate to prove him wrong and accept him as a client.
And that's where our Love-Story begins ☺

WILL THERE BE A HAPPY END?

I'm not telling you, of course ☺
I don't want to spoil your reading pleasure ☺

I REALLY ENJOYED READING THE BOOK

I loved Jennifer's ^Marriage to a Billionaire Series^ - and this is the spin-off. We even meet most of the old characters again ☺ And the book of Spells will be found again - in an used book store ☺
I normally hate most things supernatural - but it's only this tiny little thing here - that Kate knows when people find their other half. It totally fits with the romantic idea of a matchmaking business ☺ It didn't bother me at all.

Slade is really HOT and he's sooo completely ALPHA that he's just adorable ☺

He doesn't believe in LOVE and HEA - but he hadn't met Kate before - poor guy!
He's so sweet - the way he tries to save his sister from the bad matchmaking ladies!
He has reason to be afraid for Jane - she once overdosed on pills - and he found her lifeless body in the bathroom - but she says she's really better now and happy and she wants to be responsible for her own life.
But he can't let go completely - that's why he shows up at Kinnections.

Kate is a really sweet person

- she has this adorable dog Robert - who's the secret star of the book ☺ - she found him half-dead on the side of the road.

Robert was inspired by the Real Robert: ►Robert's Facebook page◄

Kate obviously believes in love and HEA

...like to meet someone who actually believed in love and commitment? A man to grow with in this lifetime and beyond? Someone who saw all her faults and accepted who she was?

...but after 100 unsuccessful dates and after still being a virgin at 26 she just wants to give up dating for a while.
Enter: Slade ☺

It's really fun watching them both fight for and against each other.

It's like watching a Romantic Comedy - you just KNOW they'll end up together - but it's soo much fun to watch them get there ☺
Like the scene where Slade threatens to sue her if she doesn't accompany him to a business dinner with his bosses. Adorable. He told them she's an accountant! The one thing she knows NOTHING about ☺

There are LOTS of sexy and romantic moments in this book!!

I can really recommend this book to everybody who loves a sweet and fast-reading romance!

You might even shed some tears - at least I did ☺

Oooohhh and all you Wolfe Fans out there (Me! Me! Me!!!) - we met him in the last book - he's in here too - I guess we'll hear his story soon ☺ YAY!!!!

Can't wait for the rest of the series!!!

Were there a few things I didn't like? Hm maybe - there was a lot of name-dropping of different TV-Shows - Movies - Books - etc. - seemed a bit too much - but it didn't bother me all that much☺
Nothing else to complain about!!!!

 I really enjoyed it.
GO GET IT!☺

STALK JENNIFER ON:

JENNIFER PROBST:
STOLEN FROM HER HOMEPAGE

I’ve always wanted to be a writer. At twelve, I took a pen in hand and wrote my first love story. I haven’t stopped since. Those heroines taught me valuable lessons that served me well. I learned to keep my head up high and surge forward when I was afraid; I learned to demand respect in a relationship; I learned about compromise and dreams and independence. Those are the stories I want to write, and I can only hope I give back some of the joy I received over the years.
I live in the beautiful Hudson Valley in upstate New York. I’ve traveled to many places but always seem to be drawn back to the mountains. I graduated with a business degree, worked for Mercy College, and now spend most days dedicated to my family and my characters. I’ve pursued many career paths such as travel agent, yoga teacher and insurance salesperson. I’ve wanted to be an airline pilot, a dancer, an archaeologist, and a vineyard owner. I have been all of the above through romance novels, and intend to explore many more.
One of my turning points in my career was when I joined Romance Writers of America and met the wonderful people in my local chapter, The Hudson Valley RWA. Through supportive critique sessions, I learned how to develop my raw skills to get a publishable manuscript. I discovered my tendency for wordy prologues and passive phrases that all new writers work through, and now try to help others on their journey.

My “leisure time” is spent writing, reading, and raising two active boys. I believe animals are the other children in this world, and enjoy spending time at the local animal shelter, where I got my first “baby” Bella, a shepherd hound mix who gets into as much trouble as my son! I rescued my second dog from an abusive home, a beagle, basset hound who is the peacemaker in the household.

I met the love of my life when I had finally given up on my own romantic journey. The first time he asked me out he promised to buy my book if he could buy me dinner. We had dinner and fell in love over sushi and haven’t been apart since. We married and settled into domestic bliss. That’s when I learned it wasn’t about happy endings. It was about happy beginnings.
