When seventeen-year-old Sia wakes up on a park bench, she has no idea who or where she is. Yet after a week of being homeless, she’s reunited with her family.

She doesn't know where she is. She doesn't know WHO she is. The playlist on her iPod says: Sia's Playlist. That must be her name.
She has no idea why she can't remember anything. Did she run away from home? Was she abused at home and hit her head? Is she a criminal? She can't/won't go to the police.
That's how she ends up being a homeless person for 8 days. She meets Carol - a homeless angel without whom she wouldn't have made it on the streets.
When some young guy in the soup kitchen yells at her to get out - she doesn't belong here - she runs into the street and gets hit by a car.
In the hospital she finally finds out who she is: Sia Holloway. Her parents have been so worried about her.
Once she's at home - in her HUGE Bevery Hills mansion - her already complicated life starts to get even more complicated. She has a closet full of sexy clothes - most of them in pink. She has make-up that would last for 100 years. Her cook/maid doesn't seem to like her much - she's even a bit afraid of her. She has 2 best friends and a boyfriend: Duke.
In school the next day she finds out that she used to belong to the 'in-crowd' - the spoiled cheerleader and football-team kids for who bullying seems to be the main attraction in school.
But she doesn't want to be like that. She can't imagine that she ever was one of them. But she was - she was the meanest of them all.
But that's going to change. She likes her new life. Without the 'old-Sia-memories'.
The guy that yelled at her at the soup kitchen is in her class too. Kyle. And she feels that she has something in common with him - because they both want to help the homeless. But Kyle doesn't think she changed - or at least she will be back to the old Sia once she has her memory back.
But Sia doesn't give up. She wants Kyle and she wants to help her Mom and Dad with their problems.

I LOVED THE BOOK
When I started reading I kind of expected something a bit more suspensy and mysterious. BUT - it was a sweet and interesting story of a 17-year-old Beverly Hills high-school girl who was a mean bitch before the family and school stress became too much for her and she lost her memories. Fugue amnesia is what the doctor's call it.
Now she's back to being the sweet girl she was before high school and puberty happened. She cares about people - she loves her parents and hates the way her 'friends's treat their classmates.
It was really interesting to see how life on the streets could be like for a pretty 17 year old girl. And how it changed how she sees the superficial world she grew up in.
Of course it's not an easy thing to go through. She's this sweet girl now - when she used to be the captain of the cheerleaders and ruled the school as a really mean girl.
There will be a few problems along the way - but the new Sia will face everything that comes at her.
I really liked her. She doesn't give up and most importantly she doesn't let herself be dragged back into her old life.
Kyle is really a great guy too - he works in his parent's bakery - helps the homeless and he's pretty cute too ☺
Sia's mom has some problems of her own - but with her husbands and daughters help - she will overcome them.
Sia's Dad - he's a big Hollywood guy - owns a film company - BUT they have huge financial problems. I really liked the Dad - he loves his wife and daughter but he is so sad all the time - because they might lose their house and everything. But Sia tells him that it's not important - they still have each other ☺ awwww ♥

Then there are Sia's 2 best friends in school - Amber and Stacey - well - Amber is not a nice person ☺
Carol - the homeless lady has a big part in the book too - Sia goes to her for advice and to just cry on her shoulder.
I think this book is a really great story that shows us 2 opposite worlds: being homeless - living on the streets and the Beverly Hills High School life.
I really enjoyed it.
But it was over too soon - it could've been a bit longer and maybe we could've learned a bit more about how she ended up on that park bench .... but at least we have a sweet romantic epilogue ☺
If you like sweet - non-erotic - YA/NA stories...
