Summary:
Onto every divas backside, a little wood must fall.Lights, Camera, Book 2

Hollywood actress Heather Wainwright was looking forward to a long, relaxing break before starting her next shoot. Except her assistant volunteered her for L.A.s annual 24 Hour Plays.

Nervous about doing a good job for such a worthy charity, Heather falls back on diva mode, a defense mechanism that always carries her through. Until she encounters something that really gets on her nervesa lowly carpenter whose Norse god eyes pierce right through her.

Highly sought-after production designer Seth Rafferty has little patience for A-listers with superior attitudes, which is why his attraction to Heather is absurd. Yet, sensing vulnerability beneath her screen-queen act, he lets her assumptions play out.

After the wrap party, Heather awakens with little memory of the night beforeexcept that Seth gave her the best orgasm of her life, then disappeared. When he shows up on the set of her next movie, she winds up to give him a piece of her mindand Seth shows her just how stinging hot chemistry can get.

Warning: Contains an outwardly snobby actress with a good heart, a delicious carpenter with a power drill, some much-deserved spanking, and an appropriately consensualif tipsyorgasm, as well as sex at an inappropriate time of the month.

ARC received for an honest review

Laurelin Paige is quickly becoming one of those authors that I know I will enjoy, no matter what the subject matter.

And Star Struck has only added to that belief.

We quickly met Heather Wainwright in Take Two, when she was always trying to seduce our leading man, Micah Preston.  Star Struck can be read as a stand alone, as there is very little crossover between the two stories.

Heather is a diva, a reputation she works hard to live up to.  Everyone expects it of her.  There is always a camera lurking to catch her antics.  But I could completely understand why she does it.  No one knows the private side of her, what she went through to get her to where she is.

Seth is the sexy tradesman she meets on set at a charity play she is performing in.  Sexy as hell and should be well below Heather's notice.  But all is not as it seems.

This is where Heather irked me.  She came from nothing and sure, she has made a name for herself, but her diva and snobbish behaviour towards Seth and the other tradies irritated the crap out of me.  Really Heather, really?

I loved how Seth wouldn't let her keep that behaviour up and would not give up on her.  The attraction between the pair is off the charts.  I loved the banter and the snickering between the two, you knew it was going to lead to something hot and steamy.

There is a fine line between love and hate, and this pair are a toeing that line.

But of course someone is keeping secrets, and we all know where that leads to.  Heartbreak and disappointment.  They have destroyed previous relationships, and are they going to do that again?

Uh uh, for that you are going to have to read for yourself.

I really did want to slap Heather for being such a bitch to people,  but once we cracked her bitchy exterior, I grew to like her more than I thought I would.

There are some great secondary characters, and Heather's PA Lexie would definitely be my favourite.  She doesn't put up with Heather's BS, she brings her down a few pegs.  But she is also a great friend, and I loved the way she was with both Heather and Seth.  Two thumbs up for Lexie!

I really did enjoy Star Struck,  I was sweet, funny, hot and sexy.  Although I will never know the pressures of Hollywood the way Heather does, I could eventually sympathise with her.  Ms Paige drew me into the behind the scenes world of Hollywood.

But ladies, here's one thing never to forget

About Laurelin: Laurelin Paige is the NY Times and USA Today Bestselling Author of the Fixed Trilogy. She's a sucker for a good romance and gets giddy anytime there's kissing, much to the embarrassment of her three daughters. Her husband doesn't seem to complain, however. When she isn't reading or writing sexy stories, she's probably singing, watching Mad Men and the Walking Dead, or dreaming of Adam Levine.
