✪ Steel (The Beat and The Pulse #5) ✪ Amity Cross ✪

All Josh Steel Caplin ever wanted was a little bit of glory until he was left for dead on the street outside a hospital ER.

The last thing he remembers is being beaten to a pulp at The Underground, the illegal cage fighting ring thats bad news, but the only place he feels he belongs.

When he finally wakes up, he stares right into the eyes of an angel and for the first time wonders if theres something more out there for a guy from the wrong side of the tracks.

When Dr. Holly Walsh finds an unconscious man on the street, she stakes her claim over her patient for better or worse. When he finally opens his eyes, she isnt prepared for how deep that claim is about to run.

They both have pasts theyd rather forget, but together theyre stronger if only theyre strong enough to fight for each other.

Can a bad boy fighter and a big time surgeon really make things work?

Or when their two worlds collide, will it be sirens or sparks?

STEEL is the fifth full-length novel in the bestselling Beat/Pulse series from Amity Cross.

Time to fight for the broken hearted

ARC received for an honest review

I have enjoyed all the books in this series so far, and Steel was not exception.

Two  people finding their way to each other in unusual circumstances - yep, that calls right to me!

The last thing Josh "Steel" Caplin expected when he wakes up in hospital after being left for dead is Dr Holly Walsh.

Josh might be physically broken, but Holly is emotionally broken.  She sees so much more in Josh than he sees in himself - to himself, he is nothing without cage fighting.  She can see the man beneath all that, and no matter how much she fights it, she wants him.

I just wanted them to make a go of it, and to be happy.  But can what they feel for each other really be enough.

There is a bit if a mystery that brings Charlie from previous books back into the fray.  And what she is all there for - well, I wasn't expecting what we found!

Steel is a beautiful story of finding that one person, the one who repairs you. body and soul, the one who sees though all your  BS.  The one who will fight for you no matter what, and will slay yor demons.

I enjoyed getting to see glimpses of characters from former books, and I can't wait to see what Ms Cross brings us next.
